Synopsis
In 2041 refugees from another dimension pour into our world. They seek only to escape the horrors of their decaying habitat. In the beginning they are met with indifference and relegated to the bowels of society. Soon this tolerance is replaced by suspicion and mistrust. As their numbers increase - taking more jobs and bringing deadly insects, warp rats and new forms of disease, an overall feeling of anxiety fuels the indigenous population of Earth. Refugees are regulated by The System, which controls their numbers. However, managing the ever growing porthole jumpers proves impossible. Private mercenaries are brought in to keep the numbers down. But things get complicated for two of these bounty hunters as they are asked to take a job that calls into question their very humanity. How they choose is perhaps the moral of the story for us all.
